by Michael Bales, Head Guide for Alaska Rainbow Lodge

It’s been Rainbow Trout and Coho Silver fishing nirvana the past few weeks here in Bristol Bay, Alaska. The Kamishak River has been awesome all month. When you’re fly fishing on a coastal Alaskan stream, and the fishing is red hot, what more can you ask for? Here’s a photo of one of Brad’s many Silvers from last week.

The Rainbow Trout fishing has been epic as well on all of our rivers. The Moraine Creek, Brooks River, Alagnak River and of course the American and Kvichak have all been producing great days! The Sockeyes are starting to spawn throughout the Kukaklek, Iliamna and Nonvianuk systems and wherever you find them, you are sure to find fat hungry Rainbow Trout, as these happy angler photos show!
