Another season of King Salmon fishing has come to a close.  The gear has been cleaned and stored for next year after what can only be described as an awesome season here in Bristol Bay on the Nushagak, Alagnak, and Naknek rivers.  The Nusahagk alone saw a return of over 100,000 kings, solidifying its reputation as the largest king run in world.  Make sure to reserve your dates soon as we are filling up fast!!!

It’s now SILVER time, and we have been CATCHING them on The Alagnak River, the Kvichak, and of course, all of our coastal fisheries.  There is nothing quite like the take of a silver salmon on the fly.  Sight fishing them on surface flies or swinging brightly colored leeches, it cannot be beat.  The rainbow trout have been starting to fatten up for the winter on sockeye eggs as well.  With rivers like the Moraine, Little Ku and American producing some fantastic days.

Rainbow trout lined up behind spawning sockeye salmon in one of our secret trout rivers.

Just another day at the office…A beaver floatplane ride and then a morning hike into a remote trout stream in the Alaska tundra.

As always, we would love to hear from you, please contact Ron, Sharon or myself just to talk about fishing or to schedule your Alaska fishing adventure with Alaska Rainbow Lodge!
