by Michael Bales – Head Guide for Alaska Rainbow Lodge

The Silvers are here!!  We have been catching them all week in our area rivers like the Kvichak, Alagnak, and in the Becharofs.  These fish will aggressively attack a fly making for some EXPLOSIVE action on the fly rod.  The trout fishing continues to be strong as well with the sockeyes spawning in ALL of the rivers in Bristol Bay throughout August and September. Sight fishing for Big Rainbows on the Moraine Creek or swinging leeches on the Kvichak can be excellent this time of year.

You can check out what guests of ARL have been saying for years about their experience in Alaska on our website or you check us out on TripAdvisor .  See why we are known as the best fly out fishing lodge in Alaska.
