by Michael Bales – Head Guide for Alaska Rainbow Lodge
The 2014 fishing season is rolling right along here at ARL! We have been flying all around the region with our guests enjoying all of the fishing the Bristol Bay region has to offer. Each week things continue to change in our area rivers providing a great variety of adventures every day. Last week we fished for Arctic Char on the first day in a remote tundra stream, followed by King Salmon on the Alagnak for day two, Rainbows on the Kvichak on day three, Day four was Sockeyes on the Kukaklek and finally finished the week out by fishing for trout amongst the bears at the famous Brooks river!! “What a week!!”
The sockeyes have started their annual migration and are flooding the area rivers and creeks including Brooks River, watch the action live at http://explore.org/live-cams/player/brown-bear-salmon-cam-brooks-falls
