by Michael Bales – Head Guide for Alaska Rainbow Lodge

Another week of fishing has come to a close, sixteen happy clients departing and sixteen more arriving!!  We continue to see strong pushes of silver, pink and chum salmon daily on all of our area rivers.  The trout bite continues to improve daily with a few fish to 24 inches caught this week, and a few bigger ones that got away…..Many of our trips this week included some great weather with blue bird skies and temperatures into the 60’s.  The sockeye salmon continue to pour into area creeks on the Kukaklek & Naknek drainages as well.

You can still look into what guests of ARL have been saying for years about their experiences in Alaska while staying with us on our website and more recent reviews on TripAdvisor.  We are also still actively posting photos to Facebook  of  our days on the river this season!!  Make sure to Like our page and share it with your friends, we would love to have you as a guest.
